The last project I worked on in my time at Gameloft was this mobile farm simulator. I was responsible for effects and helped manage the asset pipeline as the team’s Technical Artist.
I’m not sure of the fate of this game unfortunately, seeing as Vivendi has taken-over Gameloft now. I wonder if many of the games we worked on there will remain in-tact.
Well, enough sad news, the game looks cool and there’s a lot to be said about the production cycle that I should probably not disclose. I really miss working alongside so all those super talented crazy people 🙂
Finally! Our 48 Hour GameJam Game is on Newgrounds… 48 hours… PLUS A WEEK OF EXTRA CODING!
Art-side can be proud though, they were mostly finished in under 24 hours…
Anyway, yeah, our game is alllllllll ready for people to play. give it a go! Tell us what you think in the newgrounds comment section, yeah, all of that 🙂
Right after he stops by for a quick chat with our head agent…
Anyway, I really gotta finish this with my mate, “around” xmas if not on/before xmas ^^;
Keep your eyes peeled guys, magical fun game coming free to you soon!
All right, this was a good two weeks worth of fun. Here’s to a happy Halloween everyone! Haven’t devved anything proper in unity for a little over a year (the dog game), Kudos to Aasta for inviting me to join this project, I think it worked out pretty well. It was good practice on a few things I hadn’t tried before and it was interesting working in 3D with Aasta’s 2D art-style. Also, It’s my first time ever, indie-devving with a decent sound-guy on-board. I think I may just really like to work with these two again. Tonnes of fun and happy with the result.
To place credit where credit is due:
- Art / Story / Design: Aasta L. Otnes
- Score / Sound Effects / Window’s Voice: Dylan Adams
- The Little Girl’s Voice: Ruth Spencer
- Code / Technical Art / Animation / Effects: Regan Music (me)
Sooo, here are some screenshots to entice you to give it a quick play (it’s a quick game after all ^^) followed by a link below to play the game online… also, I’m more than happy to hear any critique (compliments), suggestions, or ideas you think would be just extra-that-much-cool. We’re aware of a few things that could be cooler (bite me), but to be honest, it’s already cooler than I thought the two weeks would allows us to manage! :O
P.S. Click here to play!
One more thing: If you are on a Mac instead of a PC, it’s your fault if the game doesn’t run, not mine 😛
First try at some simple game-cutscene thing… I’m incredibly held-up by limited particle knowledge in Maya.
Soooooooo here’s what I’ve been working on for the past 18 months(+). My first commercial release! Ah, so proud :D:D
There was quite a team of us at the studio, I was charged to take care of the island models and the data side of the environment art. The game is a sort of village tycoon / adventure game featuring mini games. The game is available for both iOS and Android, so… give it a go! Tell me what you think! ^^
It’s supposed to be shrunk down and spammed into a few clouds of krill.
